Invitation to Helen’s Exhibition at Strange Cargo

The Exhibition at Strange Cargo in Folkestone includes Drawing and Paintings from five decades since leaving Edinburgh College of Art and later the Royal College of Art.  A loose nautical thread has surfaced without being planned.  Crabs, turtles and fish appear alongside images of Folkestone where I  have lived for the past decade. The exhibition is not a survey nor a retrospective. It is an opportunity to see my selected work at Strange Cargo home of the most wonderful participatory arts organisation that is committed to the idea that art can bring people together. "Serious about art and serious about people".
