The Fishing Fleet at St Peter’s
July 1st, 2019
St. Peter’s in Folkestone was built for the Fisherfolk and Port of Folkestone in 1862. Strange Cargo invited me (and 19 other artists) to illustrate a short account taken from their research into archives, stories and historic events connected to the fishing industry in the town. My Studio in the Creative Quarter, Folkestone
June 6th, 2016
Thanks to The Creative Quarter, established by The Roger De Haan Charitable Trust, for my temporary studio space a stones throw away from the sea, with an outlook to France and the flying porpoises! The book… Read more

Life drawing classes included day-long poses with a model on a bean bag, or several models walking… Read more

I’ve got into the habit of note taking alongside my drawings, having worked for a time as a scribe, and they are quite useful to jog my memory afterwards. I filled the rest of my sketchbook,… Read more
Retrospective: Window Displays
September 18th, 2015
I’ve worked on all sorts of projects as a painter – it was great to get the chance to design the window displays for the Wivenhoe Bookshop between 2004 and 2014. We won the Best Independent Window Display 2008 and the Wellcome Trust Curious Window 2014 runner up prize. I was always so thrilled to learn how much people enjoyed… Read more
